A New Chapter For USDC: Native USDC Replaces USDC.e

We’re excited to be one of the first adopters of Native USDC on Polygon! This means from today, make sure you’re only sending Native USDC to your Stables wallet and not the bridged version “USDC.e” from Ethereum.

Why the Switch to Native USDC?

Last month, Circle, the issuer of USDC, announced plans to issue Native USDC directly on blockchains, starting with Polygon. We migrated all balances to Native USDC and have now discontinued support for USDC.e deposits and withdrawals.

This advancement from Circle has a number of exciting benefits, including institutional on/off-ramps and future support by CCTP (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol), which will eliminate bridge withdrawal delays, allowing near-instantaneous teleportation of USDC from one blockchain to another.

What Does This Mean for You?

From November 9th, it's important that you only send Native USDC to your Stables wallet, as the older version, USDC.e, will no longer be supported by Circle. This transition ensures a smoother, more efficient, and more secure experience for you. If, by chance, you end up sending USDC.e to your Stables wallet, please contact customer support via our in-app chat.
