Welcome to the October edition of our product & community update!
It’s been yet another mammoth month for us here at Stables, so in case you missed it, here’s what has been keeping us busy.
We've officially expanded internationally - launching fiat offramps in the Philippines! Now, anyone from over 130+ countries can easily convert their USDC to PHP and withdraw to over 100 local banks or e-wallets, including GCash, Grab, ShopeePay, and MayaPay in the Philippines.
We're honoured to have received two prestigious awards at Blockchain Australia’s "Blockies” Awards. Stables took out both the Project of the Year and Startup/Scaleup of the Year against some incredible competition locally. It’s been a huge team effort to get here, and we appreciate all the support from you, our users, to get us here.
Our collaboration with Algorand and Kraken led to a fantastic event at the OSHI Gallery down in Melbourne. We hosted a great debate on whether crypto is the future of money - which turned out to be a lot more fun than we expected.
We also saw hundreds of you who visited our booth at the Australian Crypto Convention in Melbourne. It was amazing to have users come back to the booth after using our app to tell us how much they loved using it overnight. The atmosphere and buzz were worthwhile to spend so much time talking and engaging with the Australian crypto community. We’re already looking forward to next year!
We hosted a SXSW Sydney side event at BarLulu alongside Bitget and Algorand, which saw several panel talks around the future of money. We also popped into AusDeFi’s Sydney meetup to give updates on all things Stables - thanks for having us!
In tech news, we now support native USDC on Polygon! Last month Circle announced they would issue Native USDC directly to blockchains, replacing bridged USDC.e from Ethereum. From November 9th, make sure you’re only sending Native USDC to your Stables wallet - as USDC.e will no longer be supported by Circle. To read more, check out their blog post on native USDC across blockchains here.
That’s a wrap for October! Thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout 2023, it’s been a huge year, and we are keen to keep building new features through to the end of the year. Here's to even more exciting releases in the months ahead. Catch you next month!
